The Islantilla Golf Course is a new championship course in south-west Spain.

Designed by Enrique Canales and Luis Recasens the 27 hole course, in Huelva, was opened in 1992. Shortly afterwards it hosted the 1993 PGA European Challenge Tour event won by Sweden's Magnus Person. The complex extends in over 300 hectares and will eventually include an Olympic training village, equestrian centre, yacht harbour and casino. There will be accommodation for 22,000 people. |
